The Thief Zone Seal (TZS) Additive is a smart lost circulation prevention and mitigation solution. It essentially helps in sealing and closing fractures in the formation, thus effectively controlling fracture propagation and wellbore instability. The TZS Additive is a blend of granular and fibrous materials in a single sack, high solids formulation. Once injected, it helps in bridging and sealing the thief zone and increasing the pressure so as to force the water/drilling fluid out of the fracture. It leaves a deposition of solids in place to form an impermeable filter cake, thus plugging the loss zone.
